Tasks

The Captain has the vessel‘s command and the overall authority on board of our vessels. He is responsible for all planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising matters related but not limited to ship´s safety, operational health & safety, ship´s security and environmental protection. In addition to these responsibilities the Captain is obliged to carry out representative duties for our Company.

Requirements

  • Licences / certificates in accordance with STCW 95
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Conditions of Employment

  • Unlimited duration of employment contracts
  • Payment according to current HTV-See (Heuertarifvertrag-See = Full German social security contributions, remuneration according to the German seaman's wage agreement)
  • Work and leave times according to MTV-See (Manteltarifvertrag-See = German seamen's industry-wide employment agreement)
  • 1 : 1 basis, sea service time (3-4 months) = duration of leave (3-4 months)

Tasks

The Chief Officer is responsible for all measures that guarantee the seaworthiness of the vessel. His range of duties includes all matters concerning ship´s safety, ship´s security and environmental protection issues as well as the economic management of the deck department.

Our Chief Officers are responsible for Ballast Water- and Garbage Management and are designated „Ship Security Officers“.

The Chief Officer is the Master‘s deputy.

Tasks

The Chief Engineer is responsible for proper condition of all technical systems on board with special focus on ship´s safety, occupational health & safety, ship security and environmental protection aspects. He/she is responsible for the overall management of the technical systems. The Chief Engineer is a member of the Shipboard Management.

Tasks

The 2nd Engineer supervises all repair and maintenance work arising in the engine department according to Chief Engineer´s instructions. He/She has to ensure that all engine department personnel are working in compliance with safety and environmental protection requirements. The 2nd Engineer is responsible for the occupational health & safety regulations and the proper performance of all related procedures and precautionary measures.
