User Guide: Cargo & Equipment Tab

Please provide all information relating to the required equipment and the cargo of  your requested booking.

General Information section

In the upper part of this page, please select the quantity and type of equipment required.

Note: You also have the option to provide further information that is valid for all your requested containers. This will then be applied to all individual containers.

Once entered please click on ‘Assign details’ to proceed.

Container details section

The lower part of this page will be accessible after entering and assigning the general equipment requirements.  Here you can provide detailed  information against each container.

Screen area: Container Type selection

Select up to 4 different container types and up to 10 containers. Or select 1 container type and up to 250 Containers if the same cargo details are applicable for all containers.The available options can be accessed via the drop down box.

Note: Where your booking request is based on a quotation this information will be limited to show as defined by the quotation.

In order to be able to define all details of the cargo, you need to click on Assign Details after you have defined the container information.

In order to link the completed cargo and equipment details to the shipment you will need to select ‘Assign Details’.

Entry field: Description

The cargo description.

Note: The description here the cargo will be assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked. If you have more than one cargo this information can be provided later.

Entry field: HS Code (Harmonized System Code)

The HS code (harmonized system code).

Note: By entering the HS code here the it will be assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked. If you have more than one cargo this information can be provided later.
This information is not mandatory at this stage.

 

Screen area: Positioning information

This section is relevant only if the export haulage of your booking request is defined as Carriers Haulage (Received at your door).

Entry field: Positioning

The date and time required for positioning the containers at the load point.
Note: By entering a date/time here they will be assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked. If you have more than one date/time this information can be provided later.

Entry field: Pick up of full container

The date and time required for collection of the containers from the load point, (To be used for containers dropped at site only).

Note: by entering a date/time here they will be assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked. If you have more than one date/time this information can be provided later.

Entry field: Loading Reference

The reference which is to be quoted when positioning/picking up the container(s).

Note: By entering a loading reference here it will be assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked. If you have more than one loading reference this information can be provided later.

Screen area: Equipment owned by

This section is only relevant when the export haulage is defined as Merchants Haulage.

Selection: Equipment owned by: Hapag Lloyd / Shipper

The ownership of the equipment. Here you will need to identify if Hapag-Lloyd will be responsible for providing the equipment or if the equipment is shipper owned.

Note:  Where identified as shipper owned there will be an option to provided the relevant container numbers under the container details section.

Screen area: Contact Information to confirm loading

Details of the person(s) to be contacted upon arrival at the positioning/pick up address (only applicable for carrier haulage (Received at your door)).

Entry field: Name

The Name(s) of the person(s) to be contacted upon arrival at the positioning/pick up address (only applicable for carrier haulage (Received at your door)).

Entry field: Phone

The phone number(s) of the person(s) to be contacted upon arrival at the positioning/pick up address (only applicable for carrier haulage (Received at your door)).

Screen area: Empty container from depot

This section is relevant when the export haulage is defined as Merchant Haulage and utilising Hapag-Lloyd owned equipment.

The depot information will be provided with the final booking confirmation.

Entry field: Release

The date/time which you require the container(s) to be released for collection from the depot.

Equipment and Cargo

A description of the cargo including the weight, the metric unit and the HS code (each container is represented by one line)

Note: The HS Code is mandatory for all US business due to filing regulations.

Display field: Container Type

The container type which the details will be applicable to.

Entry field: Container No.

The shippers own container number.

Note: This section is only relevant when the export haulage is defined as Merchant Haulage and utilising shipper owned equipment.

Entry field: Positioning

The date and time required for positioning the containers at the load point (only applicable for carrier haulage (Received at your door)).

Note: If you have already entered a date/time under the general container section they will have been assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked, if this is not correct please adjust as necessary.

The date and time required for collection of the containers from the load point, (To be used for containers dropped at site only).

Entry field: Loading Reference

Entry field: Cargo Description

The cargo description (you may define a minimum of 1 but no more than 3 cargo’s per container).

Entry field: HS Code (Harmonized System Code)

The HS code (harmonized system code), This code is mandatory for all US business to comply with filing regulations.

Note: If you have already entered a HS code (harmonized system code) under the general container section they will have been assumed to be the same for all containers and copied across all containers booked, if this is not correct please adjust as necessary.

Entry field: Cargo Weight and Unit

The cargo weight and metric unit (kgs/lbs).

Reefer Details

For detailed information about the reefer values please see the reefer values table in our User Guide which provides an overview.

Entry field: Temperature

Please enter the requested temperature setting for the reefer equipment. Only values between -40 to +30 centigrade are allowed. For exact details see below list.

Entry field: Dehumidification

The range of values for this field are between 50% and 99%. Please click check box if dehumidification is not applicable.

Entry field: not applicable

Check box if dehumidification is not applicable.

Entry field: O2

Depending on the selected value out of the special atmosphere the O2 field contains values between 0 and 21%. For exact details see below table.

Entry field: Ventilation Delay

This field should be used for containers with none special atmosphere or shippers owned reefer equipment. The setting range should be between 0 and 72 hours.

Entry field: Special Atmosphere

Please select this if you want to book reefer equipment with special atmosphere techniques or select NONE.

Entry field: Fresh Air Supply

This field should be used for containers with none special atmosphere selection or shippers owned reefer equipment.

Entry field: CO2

Depending on the selected value out of the special atmosphere the CO2 field contains values between 0 and 21%. For exact details see below table.

Entry field: Humidity Control

Humidity Control can only be used with shippers owned reefer equipment.
