Disclaimer – Be aware of fraudulent recruitment scams

We have noticed fraudulent recruitment scams targeting job seekers worldwide. A reminder to our applicants: We only use official Hapag-Lloyd email accounts with the domain @hlag.com. Any communication that does not come from this domain should be considered suspicious. Please be advised that Hapag-Lloyd and all authorised recruitment agencies representing us will never ask for any payments or fees at any stage of the recruitment process.

How to deal with scammers?

  • They may pose as representatives of our company and conduct fake interviews via platforms such as Zoom or Skype.
  • They often use unofficial email accounts (e.g. Gmail, Zoho Mail, Yahoo or even shipping company aliases, including but not limited to CSAV).
  • They often request personal information like passport copies, social security numbers or bank account details under the guise of creating employment contracts.
  • In some cases, scammers may also ask for money in the form of "registration fees" or for background checks.

If you receive any such requests or see any suspicious activity, please do not respond or follow any instructions in these messages.

Thank you for your cooperation!
