Senegal is a country located on the West coast of Africa surrendered by Mauritania in the North, Mali in East and Guinea & Guinea-Bissau in South which offers trade opportunities through the sea and with a French colonial heritage and many natural attractions. Dakar, the capital, includes the historic district of the Medina and the famous Theodore Monod museum, exhibiting works of African art. It is also famous for its nightlife, centered on Mbalax music, originating in Senegal. Hapag-Lloyd has for several years served Senegal through 3rd party agents, but started its own office (Hapag-Lloyd Senegal Limited) on August 1st 2021 as part of its intention to grow in Africa. Our office is based in Dakar.
