To further reduce the environmental impact of our actions, Hapag-Lloyd seeks to invest in state-of-the-art technology of larger and more efficient vessels, testing of alternative fuels like biofuel, to introduce digital solutions and to improve the routing of our fleet.
Under the Green Finance Framework, Hapag-Lloyd has the intention to issue Green Debt Instruments to finance or refinance projects related to Clean Transportation in accordance with the Hapag-Lloyd Group’s core business and sustainability strategy.
