Hapag-Lloyd’s own in-house developed Freight Information System (FIS) provides all the tools our business departments need to meet our customers’ needs. This includes applications for booking and sales processes, network planning and optimisation, container and transport organisation, and operations – or, in short, for everything that Hapag-Lloyd needs to run its business. And whenever standard software solutions are unavailable or insufficient for our requirements, we develop our own. What’s more, in agile frameworks, we work directly with the future users and stakeholders of our software and roll out new versions every month.

Within a central project management office, we ensure that we continuously increase business value with our IT solutions. A centrally managed and prioritised portfolio ensures transparency and allows us to define and improve our own software-engineering methods, tools and best practices.
