Disclaimer – Be aware of fraudulent recruitment scams

Hapag-Lloyd would like its prospective candidates to be aware of fraudulent recruitment scams that are currently taking place in the US and other countries. Please do not respond to those messages as these are scamming attempts.

We have had reported cases of candidates being invited for interviews via Zoom or text messages. In many cases, the scammers are writing from Gmail, Zoho Mail or Yahoo email accounts. The main goal of these scammers is to obtain personal information (e.g. copies of passport, social security numbers, bank account numbers, etc.). They will usually tell you that this information is required to create an employment contract. Please do not respond to those messages as these are scamming attempts. Please do not follow their instructions!
At Hapag-Lloyd, we don’t work with Zoom, nor would we be using any other email account than our own corporate account.

Rest assured that Hapag-Lloyd and any recruitment agencies authorized to represent us will NOT charge or collect any fees or require any money deposits from jobseekers at any stage of the recruitment process. Anyone dealing with such unauthorized parties to seek job opportunities with us is doing so at their own responsibility and risk.

Thank you for your cooperation!
