Hapag-Lloyd’s own in-house developed Freight Information System (FIS) provides all the tools our business departments need to meet our customers’ needs. This includes applications for booking and sales processes, network planning and optimisation, container and transport organisation, and operations – or, in short, for everything that Hapag-Lloyd needs to run its business.
Our boxes are used globally, and so is our system. Each solution, automation or digitalized process needs to work globally and is integrated into the complex system. Since our system is aligned to our business processes, all programs and applications must fit into the existing process chain, taking the prerequisites of the following processes and the outcome of the preceeding processes into account.
