From Sea to Sky: Special Cargo Team ships Helicopter to Chile

The helicopter was first flown to the Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) at the Port of Hamburg, where it could land safely without interrupting terminal operations. There, the rotor blades were carefully dismantled. After having been shipped to the nearby Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) by barge, it was loaded into the cargo hold of our "Montevideo Express", where it was securely fastened to several flat rack containers. Customs documentation was a particular challenge on this project since customs only released the required documents at the last minute, but confirmation finally arrived half a day before loading.
