Hapag-Lloyd AG: Hapag-Lloyd launches additional EUR 150 Million Senior
Notes Offering

Following the successful placement of EUR 250 million 6.75% Senior Notes
due 2022 on 18 January 2017, Hapag-Lloyd AG announced today the offering of
additional 6.75% Senior Notes due 2022 in the amount of at least EUR 150
million ("Additional Notes"). The Additional Notes will be issued under the
indenture dated 1. February 2017 governing the EUR 250 million 6.75% Senior
Notes due 2022.

The proceeds from the sale of the Additional Notes will be used to partly
redeem existing 7.75% Senior Euro Notes due 2018.
